No.1 doesn’t mean ranking, because it is quite difficult for me to make ranking of Peter Damm’s recording. It is as if many beautiful flowers were on the flat top of the highest mountain in the world. I will pick up one flower on the flat beautiful flower garden. I selected one recording which you can feel “Damm-taste” quite well in simple but beautiful concert for flute and harp.

Music
This work was written by Mozart for a father and daughter who played flute and harp respectively as amateurs. It is said Mozart needed to adjust the work for them whose skill was not so high. On the contrary, the simplicity made the beauty of the music more clearer. My Master knows how the Harp is heavy from his experience in university, but he doesn’t know how difficult to play it. However, I think the daughter was a good harp player. At least, she did big contribution for the people enjoy this wonderful music.
My favorite
1st movement (Introduction)
This C-dur music is suitable for morning. At the introduction, strings play the theme. Normal horn players just make sound here, but Peter Damm sing here. You can listen his “song” behind the string melody. Please listen carefully. His “song” gives strong energy to orchestra and we are very excited by his energy, too.
2nd movement
Though no wind instrument play here, Walter and Zoff made legendary performance here. It is amazing..
3rd movement
Wind instruments join again and they start singing with Flute and Harp. It makes me feel as if this movement is Concert for Flute, Harp, Oboe, and “Peter Damm”.
I hope you enjoy this great work with energy from Peter Damm.
